Cosmetic products have a certain limit value for a portion of heavy metals. Under the law, heavy metals in the cosmetic product should not exceed this limit. Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK) in cosmetic products before the date 05.10.2016 as determined by the said limit values ​​"Guideline on Heavy Metal Impurities" was published. This guide has been prepared in order to prevent any health problems for the users of cosmetic products.

The guide states the maximum amount of lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium and antimony heavy metals. Therefore, Cadmium (Cd) analysis is required for cosmetic products. With this analysis, it is possible to determine the parameters of heavy metals in the product and the values ​​obtained after the analysis are stated in the prepared report.

Cadmium Analysis Must Be Performed Under Laws!

When the relevant guide is examined, it is seen that the cadmium limit value in cosmetic products is 5 ppm. The highest limit for toothpastes and other similar products applied to the mucous membrane is 0.1 for cadmium.
